The table top is padded, which makes it easy to take cards. The surrounding arm rest also prevents cards from flying away. The folding part may not be flat, but it's easy to fix. For a few times, I simply put some chips underneath the folding part so there's no gap. Later I realized it's not flat because I didn't align the folding part well when I put it at the wall. Now I have a flat table top and I don't have to put chips underneath it.
